APPRAISAL SYSTEM AND ITS EFFECTIVENESS IN MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AFFAIRS IN BAHRAIN

Abstract

Appraisal system in Ministry of Information Affaires is a mechanism of evaluating employees’ performance on the basis of the agreed objectives in the organization. Human resource management within Ministry of Information Affaires has effectively introduced the system for a fair evaluation of employees on which their pay or promotion can be judged. The appraisal system is one of the key tools used to evaluate the performance of individuals in various organizations around the world. This thesis intends to understand the effectiveness of appraisal system within the scope of the Ministry of Information Affaires and demonstrate the overall performance. The study thus focuses on demonstrating the effectiveness to the various attributes of the appraisal system in terms of demographic variables that are gender, age, education, level of works of the employees. The study adopts a primary research through a questionnaire which is analyzed through the process of statistical tests. The results of the study suggest that there is no difference among different demographic variables and effectiveness of appraisal system in the Ministry of Information Affaires and further suggests recommendations for enhancing the process overall.
