Abstract

Academic leadership is essential for the success and growth of higher education in India, particularly in the context of NEP, 2020. Academic leadership is the process of leading an educational institution towards achieving its goals and objectives. It involves creating a vision, setting goals, and providing guidance and support to the faculty and staff. In the Indian context, academic leadership plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the education system. It requires a sustained effort from policymakers, educators, and researchers to address these challenges and create an environment that fosters growth and innovation in the higher education sector. It is in this context, author made an attempt to present some visionary insights and suggest a model framework for the academic leadership and its strategies in Indian HE scenario.
